The enjoyment of fastest internet goes to South Korea with an average connection speed of 22.1 Mbps.The country saw a massive 66% quarterly jump in its average connection speed. The year-on-year jump is 51%.

2: Japan ->

The country Japan offers an average internet speed of 13.3 Mbps. 

This equals to a growth of 12% over the previous quarter and 27% year-on-year. 

3: Hong Kong ->

 Hong Kong has an average internet speed of 12.5 Mbps, a growth of 16% over the    previous quarter and 39% year-on-year. 

4: Netherlands ->

The company which ranked at No. 6 in the previous quarter in internet speed globally, ranks at No. 4 this quarter with an average internet connection speed of 12.5 Mbps. This equals to a growth of 23% quarter-on-quarter and 46% year-on-year.

5: Switzerland ->

The paradise on earth i.e. .: Switzerland saw its ranking slip this quarter. Switzerland ranks at No. 5 in Akamai's latest report with an average internet speed of 11.6 Mbps. At 11.6 Mbps, the country's internet speed improved by 5.3% over the previous quarter and 33% over the previous year.

6: Czech Republic ->

Enjoying with average internet speed of 11.3 Mbps ranks at No. 6. The average internet speed in the country grew by 16% quarter-on-quarter and a massive 49% over the previous year.

7: Latvia ->

Latvia Ranked at No. 7 this quarter, the country offers an average internet speed of 11.1 Mbps, a growth of 4.6% over the previous quarter and 28% over the previous year.

8: United States of America ->

The global superpower United States retains its last quarter's No. 8 position. With average internet speed in the country during the quarter was 9.8 Mbps, a growth of 13% over the previous quarter and 31% over the previous year.

9: Belgium ->

The country offers an average internet speed of 9.7 Mbps during the quarter, which is a growth of 16% over the previous year and 46% over the previous year

10: Ireland ->

The country offers an average internet speed of 9.7 Mbps during the quarter, which is a growth of 16% over the previous year and 46% over the previous year

India ranks at a 123rd position in latest Akamai's list with an average internet speed of 1.4 Mbps. Happy to hear that the average internet speed in the country has gone up by 11% over the previous quarter and 34% over the previous year.
